Ursula was my teacher for Travel and Tourism at CDI College Vancouver. I had learnt a great deal from her. She had a lot of patience for our international students (language barriers). We did a lot of hands on in this field.
Ursula was very professional with us, gave us the opportunity to do some volunteer work.
Because of Ursula, I am now working on a 6* cruise ship (Silver Sea). She pushed me to apply and go for it.
Because of Ursula, I am now working on a 6* cruise ship (Silver Sea). She pushed me to apply and go for it. She always pushed us students just enough to get started. She knew exactly what each of us needed to succeed.
We were four students in the class and all of us have a job in tourism started right after our practicums. She got us to succeed in every way possible.
She isn’t just a teacher for me,she is a mentor and a friend. I am so grateful to have gotten to know her and have her teach me.

I would like to express my gratitude for the work I did with Ursula Wienecke during her visit to Cuba, accompanying a group of Senior Tours Canada.
This, was a big group that, as everybody knows, always is more complicated to manage, especially when the tour destination is a country like Cuba that has its characteristics, but in this case the result was excellent because Ursula quickly knew how to have a good relationship with all the clients in a perfect and kindly way, helping them in each situation they found here, producing an end of the tour where all the clients were happy, and thankful for the great conduction she gave them.

Ursula is a person that is always able to help the persons around her and also able to contribute for the best results of things and that is open to any idea that could improve any activity where she is involved.
In my opinion, she has a right personality to work with seniors and this is not only my opinion, it is shared with the Cuban guides and drivers and hotel, museum and restaurant employees that were lucky to work with her during those 15 days.
I wish her a lot of success in this new project which I am sure she will continue giving happiness and hopes to all the people who approach her.

I worked with Ursula at CDI College where she taught travel and tourism, and I must say she is a stellar teacher.
I must say she is a stellar teacher.
Ursula treated every student as a member of her own family and took great pains to ensure that they were able to understand the materials. To ensure that her students had the best possible experience, Ursula would often take them on various fieldtrips to travel agencies, tourist hotspots, and travel events that she was working with. These experiences greatly enriched her students’ education and provided them with great contacts to use after graduation.
Her students flourished and thrived under this philosophy of care and practical experience; they have since gone on to great careers in various areas of the travel industry.

I had the good fortune of working with Ursula Wienecke as a porter/greeter when she worked as greeter for celebrities arriving at Vancouver International Airport
My job description included but was not limited to meeting celebrities in the Canada Customs Hall, guiding them through the Canada Immigration Centre at the airport, helping them get their work visa and helping them get their luggage and taking them out to where Ms. Wienecke waited to take them to their waiting sedan.
In all my dealings with her, I found her to be a repertory of knowledge, adhering to the highest meeting/greeting standards, having putting them in place herself and surpassing them. Always immaculately dressed and with an impeccable gift of the gab, she was an inspiration to her staff and an immense pleasure to work with.
as their greeter as she was always a consummate professional.
Her clients often spoke highly of her and often asked their production houses to get Ms. Wienecke as their greeter as she was always a consummate professional.
She is an inspiration to many as I can see no one who epitomizes discipline better than Ms. Wienecke.

Just to let you know I would not be employed in the tourism industry without the training and guidance I received from our Travel and Tourism instructor Ursula Wienecke at CDI. She was so passionate and enthusiastic about the tourism industry that you can’t help but think you will also succeed. She was always available to answer questions, provide advice and challenge us to explore all the options. She made us THINK! I was a little scared at first coming into a classroom full of students half my age and so tech savvy, but she created a friendly and safe learning environment for us all.
Ursula was a strict instructor. We always started classes on time and seldom were we able to leave early. She took the training program seriously and the work in class was hard. There were lots of quizzes and tests, lots of new information to learn and process. Ursula believed that the quizzes and tests showed us what we didn’t know and what we still had to learn. They were part of our daily routine in class.
Always sharing her real life experiences and sharing the mistakes she made allowed to make lots of mistakes but also made the classes fun and lively.

I miss our classroom experiences but in the end I got it right and am employed in the industry. I'm really thankful that she's such a terrific and wonderful teacher to us!
